Michael Delia M.A., L.I.C.S.W., President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael received a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago in Social Service Administration and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, graduating Magna cum Laude and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He received advanced training in not-for-profit management from Harvard Business School and Roosevelt University in Chicago, serving as a fellow in a yearlong program for senior managers sponsored by the City of Chicago. He has over twenty years work experience in management positions within not-for-profit organizations. Michael has also served as a board member and officer of local and national child, youth, and family organizations, including currently serving on the United Neighborhood Centers of America's Board of Directors. He is also a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), and a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). He was recently chosen as one of Boston Event Guide's "30 Extraordinary Bostonians." He has led East End House since 1996.
Sam Healy L.I.C.S.W., Senior Director of Child and Family Services
Sam earned Master's degree in Social Work from Boston University, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Georgia College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. Sam has over 20 years of experience working with children, youth and families. He served as Clinical Director of the Boys and Girls Clubs for over 10 years. He supervised social work services for 10 neighborhood afterschool programs, overseeing the emotional well-being of over 6,000 children while providing direct service and programming to youth and families. Sam has worked as a consultant for over five years. His "Ignite the Greatness in Each Child" training has given schools, youth centers, and families tools to positively approach child and youth development with all children. Sam's experience and expertise are valuable assets to furthering East End House's mission and vision.
Rebecca Gallo L.C.S.W., MPH, Senior Director of Evaluation and Development
Rebecca earned a Masters degree in Social Work and a Masters degree in Public Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American University. Her graduate studies and field work focused on community program development and clinical social work. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and has experience developing community programs and working with individuals, families, and children in non-profit organizations in Washington D.C., New York City, and the Greater Boston area. She has also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cote d'Ivoire, West Africa where she worked to improve community health in a rural village. Rebecca is excited to join the East End House staff and to use her education and experience to help continue the agency's tradition of building a strong, vibrant community in East Cambridge and surrounding communities.
Caitlin McCormick, M.A. Middle School Program Director
Caitlin received a Master's degree in English from Bar-Ilan University in Israel and a Bachelor's of Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College with concentrations in Religious Studies and Creative Writing. She has worked with at-risk youth in Out of School Time for four years, as a direct service teacher of art and drama, a mentor, and the director of an afterschool and community outreach program in Austin, Texas. Caitlin is excited to be a part of the East End House staff to focus attention on the development of middle school youth-a population that is often overlooked.
Tim McIntosh Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Specialist
Tim earned a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering. He has worked to bring science and technology to youth in various settings. Tim worked as a high school math and geography teacher at Queen’s Royal College in Trinidad and Tobago before coming to Cambridge to attend MIT. He has worked at MIT’s Kid-Tech Camp developing fun activities relating science and technology to everyday life. He also mentors sixth grade students through MIT’s Engineering Outreach Office’s Science and Technology Engineering and Mathematics Program. Tim brings his extensive background and expertise in STEM programming for youth to the School Age and Middle School Programs, as well as the greater East End House community.
Camille Imbimbo-Platt Child Care Director
Camille received her EEC Director II Certification after working in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 20 years. She gained eight years of experience working for a not-for-profit social service agency in Boston before joining the East End House staff, and she has been working at East End House since 1993. Camille has participated in, and works closely with, other collaborating organizations including the Zero to Eight sub-committee and Cambridge Community Partnership for Children. In addition to her own continuing professional development, Camille has presented workshops and trainings for other Early Childhood Educators and Directors at the annual Teaching for Change Conference at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. Under her leadership, the East End House's Child Care program achieved Accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which recognizes program excellence.
Chrissy Souder Curriculum Director, School Age Program
Chrissy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in photography from Bennington College and an Ed.M in Administrative Policy and Planning with a focus in Community Educational Leadership from Boston University. She worked as a dorm head and photography teacher for high school students at the Putney School, in Vermont for three summers before coming to East End House. She also taught beginning and intermediate photography courses at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. While at East End House she has completed the Best Initiative Youth Worker Certificate Program, levels 1 and 2.
