A New Kitchen at East End House

East End House has made remarkable progress over the past year with the agency’s kitchen renovation project. Funding from the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority and the Smith Family Foundation has helped the agency to completely remodel the kitchen by purchasing new appliances, flooring, and cabinets, reworking the space to make it more effective for the agency’s dedicated Food Specialist. The new kitchen has thus far enabled the agency to expose youth to a broader, healthier menu thanks to new possibilities with upgraded equipment and space. The agency serves over 250 children and youth each year, all of whom are served daily meals prepared in the agency’s kitchen. East End House is committed to the overall success of the children and families in our programs and takes a holistic approach to achieving this. Healthy lifestyles, including healthy eating, are an essential component to children thriving. We want to thank the Smith Family Foundation and the Forward Fund from the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority for making this renovation possible!
