When you have a food blog, you occasionally get free passes to food events. Normally, I ignore these invitations, but recently one caught my eye. East End House is a non-profit organization that helps Cambridge families in need, and they were holding a Cooking for a Cause event at MIT Media Lab.
On May 2, 2011, East End House brought together a group of educators, policymakers, business people and non-profit professionals to discuss how to work together to improve achievement and engagement in science for all youth.

The ninth annual Cooking for a Cause was bigger and better this year — securing funds for the great work the East End House in Cambridge does and providing guests an opportunity to sample treats from the best chefs and mixologists in the area.
