Social Worker/Therapeutic Case Manager

Amelia Vess Schofield is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than six years of experience supporting children, youth, and families. Before joining East End House, Amelia served as an Intensive Foster Care Social Worker at Bridges Homeward, where she provided clinical case management and worked closely with children and families, foster parents, schools, the Department of Children and Families, therapists, medical providers, and community organizations. Her earlier work with Wayside Youth & Family Support Network included supporting young adults experiencing housing instability, as well as refugee and immigrant youth, and supervising and training staff.

At East End House, Amelia works across programs to provide therapeutic case management and family-centered, trauma-informed support to children, youth, and families. She helps families navigate community resources and complex systems, provides individualized support, and works alongside staff and community partners to address social-emotional, behavioral, and other challenges that can affect family stability and well-being.

Amelia earned her Master of Social Work from Simmons University and her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Salve Regina University.

Amelia is passionate about helping children and families build on their strengths, strengthen relationships, and access the resources and supports they need to thrive. She is inspired by the resilience of the children and families she works alongside and by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
