Building Community. Promoting Wellness. Enriching Lives.
For nearly 30 years, East End House’s Senior Activities & Outreach Program has helped older adults in Cambridge remain active, connected, healthy, and engaged. Designed for residents age 62 and older, the program offers welcoming opportunities for social connection, lifelong learning, health and wellness, recreation, and community engagement—all in a supportive environment where every senior is valued.
Our mission is simple: to reduce isolation, strengthen independence, and help older adults continue living vibrant, fulfilling lives.
Why it Matters
As people age, social isolation, declining health, and limited access to resources can significantly impact quality of life. East End House provides a trusted place where seniors build friendships, stay physically and mentally active, discover new interests, and connect with valuable community resources.
Every program is designed to foster:
- Social connection and belonging
- Physical and emotional wellness
- Lifelong learning
- Independence and dignity
- Active community engagement
“The relationships that have developed wouldn’t have happened without this program. It’s nice to know seniors are not a forgotten group.”
— Eileen Pires
