Jemima grew up on a cattle ranch in Northern New Mexico. She moved to Boston in 2019 where she earned a master’s degree in English from Northeastern University. She taught and tutored English in high school and college settings for several years. In 2022, she joined East End House as a group leader for the Middle School Program, and she became a senior group leader with a focus on outreach in 2024. As the Senior Group Leader of Outreach, Jemima focuses on bringing academic enrichment to the program by collaborating with teachers and creating fun and educational activities for the program. During her time at MSP, she initiated a cooking curriculum that is a favorite among the middle schoolers, and she is currently leading a neuroscience and psychology curriculum. As a former middle schooler, she knows the challenges that that life stage brings. She is passionate about being a positive support in MSP to both students and their families as they navigate the middle school years.
Outside of East End House, she is a freelance editor and enjoys reading, gardening, cooking, and wandering around new places.
