Jess grew up in New York before moving to Boston and attending Boston College, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Applied Psychology. After graduating, Jess went on to complete her graduate studies in Learning & Design at Vanderbilt University. She moved back to Boston for a year to teach fifth graders before moving abroad to Malta. While in Malta she completed a Fulbright Grant teaching English at a secondary school. She additionally taught a course at the University of Malta and collaborated with the local YMCA.
Jess has a passion for integrating literacy into the learning and explorations of children. She considers herself a lifelong learner and hopes to build relationships to grow and learn with the East End House community. Jess is committed to fostering meaningful connections and strengthening communities through relationship building. Outside of East End House, Jess enjoys traveling, exploring new places and reading.
