Volunteer

We rely on volunteers to help us provide the highest quality services and create the most innovative and relevant programming we can. There are opportunities for individuals, families and groups with varied interests and skills.

Currently we are looking for volunteers to help in the following capacities:

Administration
  • Relieve receptionist
  • Answer phones
  • Data entry
  • Assist with mass mailings
Mentor a Youth
Food Program
  • Help organize and stock groceries
  • Assist with Greater Boston Food Bank deliveries
  • Hand out groceries in the Food Pantry
  • Help out at the Farmer’s Market
Special Projects
  • Participate in Community Clean-Up days
  • Assist at special events
  • Sort and distribute food in the Thanksgiving Turkey Basket Giveaway
  • Help organize toys for Holiday Toy Drive
  • Holiday Volunteering
Community Programs
  • Run a workshop in an area of expertise; ie. dance, yoga, etc.
  • Teach or assist in adults’ computer classes
  • Run tax workshops for community members
  • Help out at special events
School Age Program
  • Run special workshops such as dance, crafts, computers, etc.
  • Assist the group leaders with activities
  • Help in the homework room
Middle School Program
  • Help in the homework room
  • Assist with science and math activities
  • Run special classes and workshops
